Just wanted to say thank you for the amazing rockmelon! I also really liked the way that it was cut long-ways from end to end as last week it was cut the opposite way. This makes it so much easier to cut and serve in crescent shaped pieces (easy for chubby toddler hands to hold!). I also appreciated that you added a flyer about the rockmelon into the boxes. True, they were very ripe! But absolutely delicious! My 15mth old son and I finished one whole half this afternoon! Lucky I got another piece from the swap box with my spinach swap!
I have just started making green smoothies and the spinach is fantastic for this! I was wondering about the possibilty of getting carrot tops, beet tops, etc which are also highly recommended and would add to the variety of greens.
re Barb’s comment about juciers having access t other greens: us jam makers are happy to hear about excess fruit, and have the chance to buy jam-able quantities direct from the growers.
Does anyone else feel that the medium size box is a touch overweight with fruit and underweight with veg? We are finding we get through the veg very quickly (2 adults, one teenager). We eat fruit every day. We are vegetarian, but even so, 3 potatoes to last a week is a bit on the light side. Quality is great. Otherwise enjoying the boxes.
