Current Locations

This is a list of current City Cousin locations. Check back regularly as we anticipate the number of available City Cousin locations will increase rapidly in the next month or two. The best way to let us know you are interested in subscribing but need another location is to complete the subscription form in the ‘Sign Up’ section and check the ‘put me on a waiting list for another location‘ box when asked for your City Cousin of choice. This way we know interest and numbers at certain locations.

City Cousins are located at:

  • Nairne
  • Mt Barker
  • Crafers West
  • Aldgate
  • South West Village (SW Community Centre, Adelaide)
  • Stirling
  • Westbourne Park
  • Tranmere
  • Brompton
  • Eden Hills
  • Food Connect Homestead- Woodville Nth
  • Brighton North
  • Kurralta Park (adj. Plympton)
  • Unley
  • Greenhill
  • Norwood
  • Prospect
  • Adelaide Hills sites (inc. Norwood and Prospect) are currently running on a Wednesday pick-up approx. 3-6.30 pm and all other metro sites are Thursdays. Longer pick up times may be able to be negotiated with your City Cousin.

View Food Connect Adelaide City Cousin Locations in a larger map Please note that locations are indicative of the suburb only and do NOT denote the actual street location.

In addition to the locations above, we have City Cousins ready to go, but are needing more subscibers for the following City Cousin locations:

Blackwood
Hallett Cove
Gulfview Heights
Onkaparinga Hills
Port Noarlunga

In the longer term we are planning routes to the outer northern and southern surburbs.

Hi Willow. if you complete the subscription form in the ‘sign up’ section of the website you will then be registered as ‘interested’ and awaiting a closer pick up. We have nairne coming on board soon which may be ok for you.

Hi,
I am a volunteer foodie with Playford council and Playford Community Health Service, I have just looked at your home page and would be very interested to know whether there are any city cousin locations proposed for the northern suburbs and more particularly Gawler in the future?
Kind regards
Jan Martin

Hi Jan , we are hoping to find a City Cousin or two in the Northern regions soon. {erhaps a community centre in Playford would be willing?

Could you prepare these on a map to give us a better idea of where the CCs are?

FoodConnect Adelaide April 12, 2010 at 1:15 pm

Emma- done. Have been meaning to upload a map for a while. Thanks for the push!

Jan, I would love to see one in the Gawler region as well. I just don’t have the space to do it myself. We need to spread the word.

Yes, a pickup in Gawler would be great….it seems that up here in the north we are a bit isolated regarding pickup points. i live in the Barossa, but would be happy to get to Gawler. This is a wonderful idea, and I would love to be a member!

Hi, I’m very keen to get delivery in Stirling. Can i please go on the waiting list? What is the likely time frame?

Regards, Holly Eyres

FoodConnect Adelaide April 22, 2010 at 12:35 pm

Hi Holly. We are not sure when a new Stirling CC will open up but we do have spaces at Aldgate and Crafers West. If you use the Sign Up form you can state your preference for a location, including if you want to go on the waiting list for stirling. Cheers.

This is such a wonderful concept, really embracing the importance of supporting local communities. I can’t wait until you bring this to the northern suburbs (please, please Gawler!!!) I’ll be your no. 1 fan :)

For all those looking for a northern cousin. There is an opportunity for you to pick up from a “half city cousin” in Elizabeth until we have enough subscribers to make it an official city cousin location (>10 subscribers).

What would happen is I pick up the boxes from an existing city cousin, transport them back here to Elizabeth, and people then pick them up from here.

If you are interested in doing this, ring the office and let them know! The more subscribers we have up here, the sooner we will get an official location happening!

Happy Food Connecting,
Amy

Amy! I would DEFINITELY be keen for an Elizabeth pick up point!! I’m desperate to start getting these boxes, but I’m studying midwifery full time and have 3 kids under 5, so having to go a good drive out of my usual way is just much too hard for us.

Tam September 1, 2010 at 5:39 pm

I would love an Elizabeth pick up point too…
